Interesting day in that I was crossing state lines for the first time on this trip; from California to Arizona. There are separate crossings for cyclists and motorists, which is different. It is the first time I have experienced a (semi) "official" border crossing between states. The agent on duty was keen to have a friendly chat saying that she likes to ensure that cyclists have all the info that they need, which is great! But she also indicated that I might be the only cyclist crossing the border that day.
